Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
The short version: your scans stay on your device. Copier has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and we never see your documents.
This policy explains what the Copier - Digital Scanner app ("Copier", "we") does with information on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. It applies to the app and to this website.
Your documents
Pages you scan or import, the original photos, page thumbnails and any text recognized in them are stored only in the app's private storage on your device (in the web version, in your browser's storage). Finding the page, straightening it, cleaning it up and making PDFs all happen on your device. We have no server that receives your documents, and we can't see, copy or restore them.
Camera and photos
Copier asks for the camera only to scan pages. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not recorded or sent anywhere. When you import from your photo library, the app reads only the photos you pick.
Sharing
When you share a document, you choose where it goes (for example Mail, Messages or Files). What happens to it after that is covered by the privacy policy of the app or service you share it with.
Purchases
Copier Lifetime and the weekly plan are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They handle payment; we never receive your name, email address or card details. To know which purchases you own, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random anonymous ID created by the app, your store purchase records and basic device information (such as platform, app version and country). That ID isn't linked to your identity, and Copier has no account or sign-in.
App updates
When the app opens, it may check Expo's update service for a newer version of the app's code. That request includes the app's version, platform and update channel, and no document data. The app works offline without it.
What we don't do
- No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No AI services or cloud processing of your documents.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
Deleting your data
Delete a document in the app to remove it from your device. Uninstalling Copier (or clearing the site's data on the web) removes everything it stored. Because we hold no documents or accounts, there's nothing for us to delete on a server. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Children
Copier doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
